The tour starts in Vergeletto, the idyllic village in the Onsernone Valley, which is known among other things for the Farina Bóna, a flour made from roasted corn. A beautifully laid-out trail leads along the river through the Valle della Camana, which then becomes the Valle Fümegn. Up to Fümegn the ascent is gentle, then it is getting steep. In the dense forest it goes up to Alpe di Doia, where you have a wonderful view over the Fornale di Categn and the Ribbia area behind it. The climb continues to Bocchetta di Doia, the highest point of the tour. To the right of the pass is Cramalina. Now you can already see Lago d'Alzasca, nestled like a pearl in the alpine landscape. From the lake it is only a stone's throw to the hut of the same name. The Capanna Alzasca is a well-equipped mountain hut where you can end the day comfortably with a refreshing drink on the terrace.
