Comologno is the second most remote village in the Onsernone Valley and the starting point of this exciting tour through picturesque landscapes and local traditions. The climb from Comologno to the sunny hamlet of Ligünc is very steep. Afterwards, the trail runs in the forest until Alpe Salèi, which smells of larch and provides pleasant shade in summer. A truly magical atmosphere! If you have the time and the inclination, you can make a short detour to the mountain lake of the same name on the Salèi, it is worth it! The jewel surrounded by larches and peaks is a real feast for the eyes. Afterwards, you can enjoy an excellent meal at the Capanna Alpe Salèi before taking the cable car or walking down to Vergeletto. In Vergeletto, a very special tradition was revived a few years ago - the production of Farina Bóna. A flour made from roasted maize, which has even become a Slow Food product. This is where the smell of popcorn comes from in the alleys of Vergeletto.
