The circular hike Caviano – Cento Campi - Scaiano - Caviano is a hike of about 4.3 km, which takes about 2.30 hours.
Starting from Caviano, the path ascends through the village center, woods and meadows to Cento Campi (Monti di Caviano), where the only thatched roof in the whole of Ticino is located, offering a unique rest stop and breathtaking views. In Cento Campi, there is also a local farmer where it is possible to purchase delicious cheese, adding a tasty touch to the hike.
After the break, the descent towards Scaiano begins, a small village with traditional houses and the Oratory of San Bernardo. From here, the return to the center of Caviano follows, where the old washhouse, a structure dating back to the late 1800s, is located. This route is well marked and varied, ideal for enjoying the natural beauty and the view of Lake Maggiore.
