By bus or boat to Brissago, where the red and white tour to Pizzo Leone starts. The trail leads through the houses and streets to Gadero, where the hiking trail begins, and you enter a beautiful natural landscape. Past a few hamlets up to Alpe di Naccio, a very green and spacious alp. Traverse westwards along the ridge of Urione and climb steeply around the mountain for the last hundred metres to the summit. From Pizzo Leone you have a fantastic view over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Over the ridge of the Urione down to the Alpe di Naccio and continue in a large arc via Pozzuolo to Porera. In Pozzuolo there is a small church. Zigzag back down towards the lake, to Ronco sopra Ascona. This is where the bus leaves.
