"Incontri" by Antonio Murgia

The Foundation Majid inaugurates Artist Antonio Murgia's new exhibition project, “INCONTRI.” The solo exhibition will be open to visitors at Maison Majid until 29 May 2025.

The Foundation Majid in Ascona is pleased to announce the significant artistic project “INCONTRI” by Master Antonio Murgia (an internationally acclaimed artist), which will take place from 29th March to 29th May 2025. He is the pioneer who has redefined contemporary Italian Pop Art. His expressive and intense colours evoke memories of the Italian Pop Art movement, which embraced the values explored by American Pop Art while profoundly transforming their meaning, visual expressions of an economic boom, history and artistic heritage, the world of cinema, and advertising. With his groundbreaking technique, he has created a new iconographic reality: his monumental female portraits, seemingly lost in space and background, leave an irreversible impact on our subconscious. Sensual and intense lines of colour shape powerful female profiles, appearing to release our deepest emotions. A magnificent collection of 100 artworks signed by Antonio Murgia will be exhibited at Maison Majid, ready to be admired.

The vernissage will be on Saturday, April 5th, the occasion to present the exhibition catalogue featuring Artist Murgia’s artworks, specially created for this project.
