The Fribourg Chamber Orchestra - OCF is one of the youngest orchestras in French-speakingSwitzerland and was founded in 2009 at the initiative of the regional government. Since then, the OCFhas become renowned throughout Switzerland and abroad, performing symphonic concerts,accompanying vocal ensembles and operas, and taking part in numerous festivals.This time, in collaboration with the renowned Ensemble Orlando Fribourg, the OCF is tackling thework that, along with the Requiem, represents the pinnacle of W. A. Mozart's sacred music and one ofthe high points of his entire work: the Great Mass in C minor KV 427.Also on the programme for this exceptional concert is Robert Schumann's Overture, Scherzo andFinale, an orchestral work halfway between the genres, distinguished from traditional symphonic formby the absence of a slow movement.
