100 years of the Vigezzina-Centovalli Railway: Open Doors

On Saturday 21 September, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., FART will open its doors to all those who want to discover what goes on behind the scenes at the company.

It will be possible to visit the Ponte Brolla workshop and the infrastructure and line sector, which take care of the maintenance of the trains and the railway line, guaranteeing transport quality and safety. Visiting the exhibition of rolling stock, equipment and working tools, it will be possible to talk to the managers of the sector and consult the information panels set up for the occasion. At the Muralto station, in addition to the rolling stock exhibition there will be a driving simulator and guided tours of the safety premises will be organised. A dedicated infopoint and exhibitors joining the event will further enrich the offer.

Also in Muralto, the FART ticket office will welcome visitors with a competition with prizes, nice gadgets and special offers. In S. Antonio, where the administrative headquarters are located, it will be possible to visit the garage where the bus fleet and numerous mechanical components will be on display. The presence of staff and information panels will make the visit even more stimulating.
