Raquel, a 42-year-old woman, has been working for years as a maid for the Valdes, a wealthy and large family, and despite her grumpy and introverted character, she now feels part of the family. The trouble starts when Pilar, her mistress, hires a second maid to help her. Feeling threatened, Raquel drives the newcomer away with childish and cruel psychological abuse. However, Raquel's migraines suddenly and dangerously worsen, so much so that one day she loses consciousness while serving breakfast.
