THE MAJID FOUNDATION INAUGURATES THE NEW EXHIBITION BY ARTIST ATEFEH YAZDANI. THE EXHIBITION WILL BE HELD AT THE RAIFFEISEN BANK ASCONA PREMISES UNTIL OCTOBER 2024.
The cultural commitment of the Majid Foundation has led to the creation of collaborations with several local institutions, including Banca Raiffeisen, whose attention and commitment to culture as a fundamental driver for personal and collective development are absolutely exemplary. This alignment of intentions continues this year, with the bank's kind willingness to host the personal exhibition of Atefeh Yazdani, a talented young Swiss-Iranian artist, at its premises. Her artistic production is a magnificent expression of the rich artistic and cultural heritage of her home country.
The artist blends painting, calligraphy, and collage, drawing inspiration from Persian tradition and mystical poets. Atefeh Yazdani's works reflect strong and sensual femininity, giving voice to a creative journey deeply marked by the wounds of her country's recent history.
By uniting tradition and modernity, abstraction and figurative intent, spirituality and civic engagement, femininity and universalism, the works of Swiss-Iranian artist Atefeh Yazdani are an important example of intercultural art. They promise to challenge their audience with the emotional power of symbols, the immediacy of pure perception, and the critical distance of intellect simultaneously.
