Throughout September and October, the Majid Foundation is pleased to host the Art Exhibition by Angelino Balistreri, to safeguard his memory and promote his painting, accompanied by the works of the internationally renowned Dutch Sculptor Johannes Genemans.
After 30 years of work as a designer in the Italian footwear industry, Master Genemans has translated his creative flair to sculpture, a practice he has engaged in using a variety of materials since the early 1990s. Balistreri's painting, on the other hand, has embraced imaginative structures drawn from experiences beyond art as well, reflecting a cosmopolitanism whose lasting effects are not difficult to discern, spanning from the early 1970s until his passing.
