Skiing in Mogno

Mogno ski resort is situated in the village of high Lavizzara in Maggia Valley. Located 30 km from Locarno, is easily reachable by car or bus.

Mogno provides skiers and snowboarders with a button lift and a rope tow for fun on the easy and moderate slopes. For fans of cross-country skiing there is a prepared trail of 4 km which winds its way through enchanting scenery.

Non-skiers can go snowshoe walking. There are well signposted trails which allow a different way of experiencing the magnificent winter landscape and enable you to reach the most beautiful and scenic places in the area. Take this unique opportunity to spend as much time as you like outdoors and far from daily life.

Lavizzara Ski Club organizes ski and snowboard courses during the Christmas holidays so that even the smallest children can begin to practise these magnificent snow-based sports. As an experiment, one slope has been set up for tubing, which is proving a great success, not just with the children but with the adults as well.

By car from Locarno drive until Cevio, from Bignasco follow the Lavizzara Valley until Mogno.

By bus with the FART bus line 317 of FART, from Locarno to Bignasco, and then by bus to Mogno.
