Cevio
The Valmaggia Museum is active in the preservation and valorisation of Valmaggio's ethnographic heritage. Located in the charming neighbourhood of Cevio vecchio, in two buildings dating back to the 17th century, it is the ideal starting point for discovering the region.
The museum's main building houses the permanent exhibition, touching on themes such as history and religiosity, women, the cycle of life, animal and pastoral farming, and soapstone. This is complemented by temporary exhibitions in the second building, where the world tour undertaken by a Valmaggiore at the end of the 19th century is currently themed.
It is also possible to take advantage of a wide range of public events and activities as well as specific offers for groups and school classes. These include guided tours, workshops as well as aperitifs in an exceptional setting. For details of the offers, please consult our website.
