Windbands in Piazza Grande in Locarno

Musica di Minusio is the organiser of the 'Bande in Piazza Grande' event, memorial Renato Nessi, which will take place for the 26th time over the course of a week in Locarno. The event, which is expected to draw a large audience to the city of Locarno, will be held from 15 to 20 September 2024 and will be attended by more than 200 musicians divided into seven musical ensembles affiliated to the Federazione Bandistica Ticinese (FeBaTi).

All concerts will take place on the stage set up on the Piazza Grande prepared for the occasion and will begin at 8.30 p.m. In the event of bad weather, the concerts will be cancelled. This year's Philharmonic event on the Piazza Grande has been made possible thanks to the support of the Locarno Town Hall, the Locarno Ente per le Iniziative, Società Elettrica Sopracenerina and the Raiffeisen Bank of Locarno.
