The museums of the Locarno region are preparing to host an unmissable event for lovers of art and culture: the Locarno e Valli Art Weekend, the first edition of which will be held on 12 and 13 October 2024. A weekend dedicated to discovering the cultural and artistic wonders of the region, with a rich programme of special activities designed to involve audiences of all ages.

A unique and diversified experience
Each museum in the Locarno region will offer customised activities, allowing visitors to explore the exhibitions, exhibition spaces and their offerings in a new way. The programme includes, as far as possible, staggered timetables to allow visitors to attend several events, transforming the weekend into a true artistic tour through museums and valleys.

- Thematic guided tours: unique insights into the proposed exhibitions
- Live concerts: classical music in atmospheric exhibition spaces
- Workshops for children: creative activities for the little ones, with interactive games and workshops
- Creative and playful activities: different games and activities that stimulate the imagination
- Film screenings: thematic film screenings
- Vernissage/Finissage and special openings: openings and closures of exhibitions or open houses
