The ‘Goat meat gastronomic festival’ returns as per tradition. The various delicacies will be prepared in various restaurants in the Vallemaggia and the region around Locarno.
To launch the event in the best possible way, an evening of ‘cicitt’ (the region's famous goat sausage, which has also been registered as a ‘slow-food’ presidium for several years) will also be held at restaurants throughout the region.
The event is promoted by the Associazione produttori di cicitt delle Valli Locarnesi, founded in 2006 and made up of breeders, butchers and gastronomes from the region, with the aim of promoting ‘cicitt’, the typical sausage made exclusively with goat meat. An evening to be spent by the fireplace, in cheerful and warm company.
